A very special event !!
unfinished sky

You are invited to a fundraiser for the Glen Innes Arts Council to see the film ‘Unfinished Sky’ and meet the director Peter Duncan on Saturday 11th October at 7pm.

Unfinished Sky is a great Australian drama set in rural Queensland anchored by two outstanding performances from William McInnes and Monic Hendrickx.

"4 Stars" - David Stratton ABC’s At the Movies

Peter Duncan has transposed the Dutch box-office hit The Polish Bride to Queensland where the self-imposed isolation of sheep farmer John Waldring, (WILLIAM McINNES), is disrupted by the arrival of a bruised and battered woman who can’t speak English (Tahmeena, MONIC HENDRICKX). As they communicate through signs, pictures and a gradual understanding of each other’s language, they begin to recover their faith in themselves and their trust in humanity.

Unfinished Sky explores the nature of loss and language of love. It’s about finding the courage to trust again, the risks we take to protect those close to us and the devastating consequences of small town secrets.

Director Peter Duncan has directed many films including "Little Bit of Soul" which was filmed in Glen Innes and includes some familiar faces.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience this fantastic movie and hear about the making of it. Come to The Chapel Cinema for a 7 pm start followed by questions and answers with the director Peter Duncan and light refreshments at 8.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased at Carelles in Grey Street for $ 20 pp which includes film viewing, Q & A with Peter Duncan and light refreshments.

The Canteen will open as usual prior to the start of the film at 7pm.
