The Birdcage

– end of year production –

Based on the movie of the same name, “The Birdcage” relates the story of a young man and a young woman, madly in love and ready to get married. Said young man was raised in a gay household, said young lady was raised in a very conservative household. Her father is in politics, his fathers run a club – The Birdcage. As is inevitable when two people marry, the in-laws must meet each other... To see how this tale of romance unfolds, you will have to come to the Chapel Theatre for a night that is sure to be full of laughter.

Starring Stuart Moor, Rob Dulhunty, Ashley Whitehead, and George Muckenschnabel, all returning to the stage after last year’s production of “The Full Monty” (but keeping their clothes on this time, although they may be wearing dresses?!!). Alongside them will be Penny Lawrence, Alixo Parry-Jones, and newcomer Josh Proctor. Not to mention cameos from some other well known Glen Innes folks, including Gerome Hayden and Nicci Jones. George is also the director with Rosie Price as co-director and Chris Hodder and Kath Spillane as producers.
