Youth Performance – “The Left Handed Review” -
The Glen Innes Youth Arts Council is back with Nesta Johnson and Rhys Davidson appointed as the Youth Liaison Officers of the Glen Innes Arts Council in 2010 and working hard. The fruits of their labour? A comedy production keeping in theme with the British humour seen in youth performances of recent years. Produced and directed by Johnson and Davidson, Cameron Moor’s legacy from last years’ Youth Project ’09 is set to continue with The Left Handed Review.
The production involves various British comedy scripts that have been adapted to stage performance by the cast and crew. The cast of this production includes previously seen young talents of the town Jeremy Coombs, Stephanie Elkington, Caitlin Turner, Nesta Johnson and Rhys Davidson, and new talent including Tye McLoughlin making his debut performance upon the Glen Innes stage. Also assisting with the production are valuable crew members Jasmine Watson, Ashley Fakes, Andrew Dawson, Caleb Hutchinson and stage managers Louise Morley and Barrie Vaughn-Johnson.
The Left Handed Review, presented with kind permission from Freemantle Media Limited and supported by the Glen Innes Arts Council Inc., will open at the Chapel Theatre with a Gala Night on Friday May 7th at 8pm. Performances continue with a matinee on Sunday 9th at 3pm (a great place to take mum for a mother’s day with some laughs), and regular evening performances at 8pm on Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th, Thursday 13th, Friday 14th and closing night Saturday 15th May.
Tickets will be available from Carelles young World late April. $15 adults and $10 student only concession
