Start dusting off those scripts and rolling the cameras, it’s happening again...
Glen Innes Arts Council will be presenting “Don’t Waste the Popcorn!” New England Short Film Festival 2011.
“Don’t Waste the Popcorn!” will be held on the first weekend of the “Land of the Beardies Festival” on the 4th, 5th, and 6th November 2011 at the Chapel Theatre in Glen Innes, with the short films being screened on our new state of the art Dolby 3D Digital Cinema System with 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound. Most films will still be screened in standard 2D format, however 3D entries can be accepted.
“Don’t Waste the Popcorn!” is looking for the most creative and talented film makers in the region Even if your film has been entered elsewhere it can still be entered in “Don’t Waste the Popcorn!”. Entries close Wednesday 31st August 2011, so start your film now.
Our first film making workshop will be on Saturday 18th June at 9.30 am until approx 4pm and will be about camera skills (including hands on activities so bring your camera), lighting, and sound. This workshop will be presented by David Gilchrist of Digizyn Studios and Tafe Tamworth. The cost of the workshop will be $10 for school students and $20 for adults. Music video, and
Documentary.
With prizes awarded for:
Best Film in each category,
Best Youth Film,
Best New England Film,
Best Technical Film,

Best Film 2011.
The maximum length of entries accepted will be 10 minutes.
