Bruce Mathiske - Live at the Chapel

Chet Atkins describes him as "a real threat"!

Bruce Mathiske, frequently described as "Guitar Genius" or "absolute virtuoso", or "Best Guitarist in Australia", came to the Chapel Theatre on March 15th, 2007 and chatted to us and played for us for a couple of hours. He started by apologising for never having been here before, explaining with his gentle wit "well, I really wanted to get it right first!!"

I think we can safely say you got it right now Bruce. In fact you could probably start thinking about giving up that day job!!

Seriously though, Bruce had the audience in the palm of his hand from the instant he walked on stage, said "hello" and played that first note. What can I say - it was one of those special nights that comes along only every so often, and at approx 50,000 flawlessly crafted notes per dollar, exceptional value!

Bruce - you're welcome back any time. Don't leave it so long this time!!
